Open Access Policy
1. Objective
The objective of implementing an Open Access (OA) policy is to promote the dissemination of scholarly research and increase the accessibility of knowledge to researchers, academics, students, and the general public worldwide. It aims to remove barriers to accessing research articles and facilitate the advancement of scientific knowledge and innovation.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all articles published in JKLM.
3. Types of Open Access
JKLM supports Gold Open Access: All articles published in JKLM will be freely available to readers immediately upon publication. Authors will retain the copyright of their articles, and they will be published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY).
4. Author Rights and Responsibilities
a. Authors retain the copyright of their articles and grant JKLM a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish and distribute their work.
b. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the content of their articles complies with ethical standards, including originality and proper citation of sources.
c. Authors are encouraged to deposit their accepted manuscripts or final published versions in appropriate repositories to enhance the visibility and impact of their research.
5. Publication Fees
a. For Gold Open Access, JKLM charges a standard Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of publication, peer review, editing, and hosting. Fee waivers or discounts may be available based on financial need or other criteria.
6. Editorial Process and Peer Review
a. The editorial process for articles submitted to JKLM remains unchanged, ensuring rigorous peer review and quality control.
b. The decision to accept or reject an article will be solely based on its scientific merit and relevance to the scope of the journal, regardless of the author's ability to pay publication fees.
7. Promotion and Dissemination
a. JKLM will actively promote the Open Access articles published in the journal through various channels, including the journal website, social media, and academic platforms, to ensure maximum visibility and discoverability.
b. Authors are encouraged to share their published articles on their personal websites, social media, and professional networks to further enhance the reach and impact of their research.
8. Archiving and Preservation
JKLM is committed to preserving the scholarly articles published in the journal for the long term. The journal will ensure that digital preservation strategies and practices are in place to maintain the accessibility and integrity of the articles.
9. Review and Revision
This Open Access Policy will be periodically reviewed and revised as required to align with the evolving needs and best practices of Open Access publishing.
By implementing this Open Access Policy, JKLM aims to contribute to the global dissemination of scientific research, foster collaboration, and accelerate the advancement of knowledge by breaking down barriers to accessing scholarly literature.
JKLM acknowledges that achieving full Open Access may require ongoing efforts and support from the academic community, funding agencies, and other stakeholders, and it is committed to actively engaging in discussions and initiatives that promote Open Access and open science.

Dasar Akses Terbuka
1. Objektif
Objektif pelaksanaan Dasar Akses Terbuka (OA) adalah untuk mempromosikan penyebaran penyelidikan akademik dan meningkatkan aksesibiliti pengetahuan kepada penyelidik, ahli akademik, pelajar, dan orang awam di seluruh dunia. Dasar ini bertujuan untuk menghapuskan halangan dalam mengakses artikel penyelidikan serta memudahkan kemajuan ilmu sains dan inovasi.
2. Skop
Dasar ini terpakai kepada semua artikel yang diterbitkan dalam JKLM.
3. Jenis Akses Terbuka
JKLM menyokong Gold Open Access - Semua artikel yang diterbitkan dalam JKLM akan tersedia secara percuma kepada pembaca sejurus selepas penerbitan. Penulis akan mengekalkan hak cipta artikel mereka, dan artikel akan diterbitkan di bawah Lesen Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY).
4. Hak dan Tanggungjawab Penulis
a. Penulis mengekalkan hak cipta artikel mereka dan memberikan JKLM lesen bukan eksklusif, di seluruh dunia, tanpa bayaran royalti untuk menerbitkan dan mengedarkan karya mereka.
b. Penulis bertanggungjawab memastikan kandungan artikel mematuhi piawaian etika, termasuk keaslian dan petikan sumber yang betul.
c. Penulis digalakkan untuk menyimpan naskhah manuskrip yang diterima atau versi akhir yang diterbitkan dalam repositori yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan keterlihatan dan impak penyelidikan mereka.
5. Bayaran Penerbitan
a. Untuk Gold Open Access, JKLM mengenakan Bayaran Pemprosesan Artikel (APC) standard bagi menampung kos penerbitan, semakan sejawat, penyuntingan, dan hos. Pengecualian atau diskaun bayaran mungkin diberikan berdasarkan keperluan kewangan atau kriteria lain.
6. Proses Editorial dan Review
a. Proses editorial bagi artikel yang diserahkan kepada JKLM kekal tidak berubah, memastikan semakan peer review yang ketat dan kawalan kualiti.
b. Keputusan untuk menerima atau menolak artikel hanya berdasarkan merit saintifik dan relevansinya dengan skop jurnal, tanpa mengira kemampuan penulis untuk membayar bayaran penerbitan.
7. Promosi dan Penyebaran
a. JKLM akan aktif mempromosikan artikel Akses Terbuka yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal melalui pelbagai saluran, termasuk laman web jurnal, media sosial, dan platform akademik, untuk memastikan keterlihatan dan kebolehcarian maksimum.
b. Penulis digalakkan untuk berkongsi artikel terbitan mereka di laman web peribadi, media sosial, dan rangkaian profesional bagi meningkatkan lagi capaian dan impak penyelidikan mereka.
8. Arkib dan Pemeliharaan
JKLM komited untuk memelihara artikel akademik yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal untuk jangka masa panjang. Jurnal akan memastikan strategi dan amalan pemeliharaan digital dilaksanakan untuk mengekalkan aksesibiliti dan integriti artikel.
9. Kajian Semula dan Pindaan
Dasar Akses Terbuka ini akan dikaji semula dan dipinda secara berkala mengikut keperluan untuk selari dengan perkembangan keperluan dan amalan terbaik dalam penerbitan Akses Terbuka.
Dengan melaksanakan Dasar Akses Terbuka ini, JKLM bertujuan untuk menyumbang kepada penyebaran global penyelidikan saintifik, memupuk kolaborasi, dan mempercepatkan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dengan menghapuskan halangan dalam mengakses literatur akademik.
JKLM mengakui bahawa mencapai Akses Terbuka penuh memerlukan usaha dan sokongan berterusan daripada komuniti akademik, agensi pembiayaan, dan pihak berkepentingan lain. JKLM komited untuk terlibat secara aktif dalam perbincangan dan inisiatif yang mempromosikan Akses Terbuka serta sains terbuka.
